This is my first post ever, since it was first forcefully created from my friend that was bored at Uni.

Last night, I watched a movie called Deep Blue Sea. The basic storyline of this story was that 3 mutated sharks are hunting down their creators. Again this is the typical man playing God and everything blowing up in their faces cliché. We have the leading Lady in this film, Dr. Susan (Saffron Burrows). OMG…was she annoying. Even though her friends have been eaten by the sharks, she still wants to save them. I can understand you have found a cure for some brain disease, but the cure is trying to eat YOU!!! Take the hint. The only thing that I must say that I like about this movie was that it was the first film, that I have seen, where the leading lady dies and there is no kissing scene at the end. Now, I’m not the type to complaining about the ending kiss cliché but it is nice to see for once the whining and self de-illusion woman being eaten and torn in two. In fact, the only survivors are the guy who kept risking his life to save the dumbass in distress (played by Thomas Jane) and the black preacher/chief (LL Cool J).

Just so you know, I’m all for protecting sharks and all that. But when you are genetically changing an animal to serve man, that is when it becomes a problem.

Over all, the movie wasn’t so bad. It was pretty graphic but you can tell that they are fake. I also praise the movie for getting rid of the only scientist who didn’t realise that the sharks were bad and that allowing them to live was a bad idea. Even though it took the whole movie to get rid of her. But it was worth the wait to watch her willingly dive into the water and having her rip in two by her own creation.

Hope you enjoy the post,
